“It is therefore plausible that the link between airway smooth muscle mass and lung function in severe asthma may be partly explained by low levels of vitamin D.”

The authors concluded that “improved understanding of vitamin D and its role in immunity may lead to better ways to prevent or treat pneumonia. We now need to investigate whether vitamin D supplements could be a useful addition to pneumonia treatment and whether using supplements could help to prevent or reduce the severity of pneumonia among high-risk populations.”

Higher Vitamin D Levels Equal Lower Risk of Multiple Sclerosis:

Yes, zinc helps as well. I feel the same way T. Colin Campbell feels about a plant-based, whole food diet….it cures everything. No sugar, no dairy, no meat does wonders for the system. Whole foods are full of vitamins and nutrients and fiber. His book, The China Study, has opened a world of healing for many and he shows us just how dangerous the SAD diet is…it’s killing us.
