It’s nothing new, it’s been around since Father Time. Keeping a smile on your face and thinking positive really does manifest as happy, or healthy. It starts at the beginning…how should you proceed?  Will your choice be to think the glass half full or half empty? Thoughts have power just as FEAR has power. Don’t give your power away, capitalize on it and manifest something great.

A bit of optimism for you:

“Everything’s going to be fine.” Go on, try to convince yourself, because realism can be bad for your health. Optimists recover better from medical procedures such as coronary bypass surgery, have healthier immune systems and live longer, both in general and when suffering from conditions such as cancer, heart disease and kidney failure (Annals of Behavioral Medicine, vol 39, p 4).

It is well accepted that negative thoughts and anxiety can make us ill. Stress – the belief that we are at risk – triggers physiological pathways such as the “fight-or-flight” response, mediated by the sympathetic nervous system. These have evolved to protect us from danger, but if switched on long-term they increase the risk of conditions such as diabetes and dementia.

Absolutely agree Jot, though it’s hard to be positive when you’re really ill. With depression, I mean. In fact, if you can feel positive, can you be depressed? (In my case probably yes, life’s such a yoyo)!
Hope you don’t mind if I lift the pic from your article!
    Smiles! Jenny

Depression is tough as you say. It is sometimes hard to pull yourself back into happiness. Yes, please pass the photo around. It makes me smile just looking at it. :0)
